ANOC General Assembly gets underway

ANOC General Assembly commences today in the US Capital of Washington DC with representatives from 206 National Olympic Committees expected.   This will be the largest ANOC General Assembly with 1000 delegates including International Federations due to arrive in Washington.  It will also be the first time the event will be held in Washington.

 

President of IOC Thomas Bach will give an update on Olympic Agenda 2020.  Pat Hickey as Senior Vice President of ANOC will give his report to the General Assembly.  The Organising Committees of the Rio Olympic Games and upcoming Games organisers will be on hand to provide information on preparations and to update the NOCs.

 

Various Working Groups will take place with the Assembly commencing at  09.00am.

 

The ANOC Gala Awards 2015 will take place later this evening and will give ANOC the chance to commend the achievements of NOCs athletes, coaches and others over the course of the year.
