BIOGRAPHY

Michael Corcoran represented Ireland at the Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games.

His best Olympic result came in 1996, when he finished 10th in the men’s C1 event. Born in Dublin and originally from Glasnevin, Corcoran competed internationally from the mid-1980s through the late 1990s and achieved a World Cup podium finish in 1993.

He later moved to the United States, where he has remained involved in the sport. His twin daughters, Michaela and Madison Corcoran, have also competed internationally for Ireland in canoe slalom.
