Stephen O’Flaherty competed in the C1 slalom event at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games.

O’Flaherty competed during the early to mid-1990s and represented Ireland through the Wild Water Kayak Club in Dublin.

At the Atlanta Games he raced in the men’s Canadian single (C1) discipline, one of Ireland’s two entries in that event.
