Gavin Noble is an Irish Olympian and former professional triathlete, born in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh. He represented Ireland at the London 2012 Olympic Games, becoming the first Irish male triathlete to qualify for the Olympic Games.
He represented Ireland on the international stage from 1999 to 2013 also represnting Northern Ireland at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games.
In addition to his Olympic-distance racing, he also made history in middle-distance triathlon, becoming the first Irish professional triathlete to win an IRONMAN 70.3 race, taking victory in Austria in 2013.
Following his retirement from elite competition, Noble moved into high-performance leadership, sports marketing and coaching roles, which included playing a key role in the development of Olympian Carolyn Hayes.
In 2017, Noble was appointed to the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI) Athletes Commission, representing the athlete voice within the Olympic movement.
He joined the Olympic Federation of Ireland (OFI) in 2019. He served as Chef de Mission for Team Ireland at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He continues to lead the OFI's performance and marketing functions as Team Ireland prepares for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
