BILL O’HERLIHY – R.I.P.
Pat Hickey, OCI President, the members of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Ireland and its constituent national federations, are much saddened by the news of the passing of the legendary RTE sports presenter and personality Bill O’ Herlihy.
Bill covered many Olympic Games over the years in a superb and knowledgeable fashion and helped to grow interest and audiences in Olympic sport and in its many Irish successes.
The OCI sends its sincere condolences to Bill’s family, colleagues and friends.
He will be sadly missed.
