Olympic Council of Ireland Chief Executive, Stephen Martin,was in Limerick at the weekend to deliver a 2012 Olympic seminar for 24 athletes and coaches within Swim Ireland's 2012 squad.

This week at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, the seven Applicant Cities for the 2016 Olympic Games – Baku (Azerbaijan), Chicago (USA), Doha (Qatar), Madrid (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Tokyo (Japan)* – are all attending the 2016 Applicant Cities’ Seminar.

The 10 candidate cities for the first ever Summer Youth Olympic Games to be held in 2010 met over the last two days in Lausanne.
