The Coordination Commission of the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games concluded its first visit to the host city Singapore today. The Olympic Council of Ireland's Team Sport grant to Irish Curling has provided Team Manager Gordon McIntyre with an opportunity to give his athletes an enhanced level of support leading into the December 2008 European Championship. The tournament is part of the qualification process for Vancouver 2010. Last year the OCI provided support to enable Curling to employ a world class Canadian coach , Ron Meyers, to help the team win the European B Championship.
