Golf and Rugby sevens face one last test on Friday if they are to be included in the 2016 Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee's executive board voted to include both at a meeting two months ago.

The XIII Olympic Congress today approved a set of recommendations with a strong focus on youth and athletes, declaring that “youth and athletes are equally at the heart of the Olympic Movement.”

Representatives from the 49 NOCs and the national athletes will elect the new Athletes Commission for Europe, out a list of 11 candidates.
