Hickey presides over successful EOC Seminars

The famous little town near Naples, that is so well known to tourists across the world, hostied the European Olympic Family 22-24 May for a last meeting before the start to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The Seminar, organised in collaboration with the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) – whose Secretary General, Raffaele Pagnozzi, is also the EOC Secretary General – was attended by over 250 delegates from the 49 National Olympic Committees of Europe.

OCI Acclimitisation and Medical Guidelines World Class

The Olympic Council Medical team Acclimitisation and Medical booklets produced for team support staff in 2007 have had excellent peer reviews from International experts, Professor Ron Maughan and Dr Richard Budgett.They are based on experiences and lessons learned from Athens 2004.The guidelines will assist each sport to work on individual sport and athlete strategies for Beijing in order to optimise performance.
