Yesterday, EOC President Patrick Hickey paid a visit to the European Games Athletes Village (AVL).
During the visit President Hickey met with village operational staff and took a tour of the facilities available to athletes. He was accompanied by Olympic Silver medalist and CEO of the Irish Sports Council, Mr. John Tracy.
The President took time out to dine in the Athletes dining hall where he met with the Chairperson of the EOC athletes commission Jean Michel Suave and signed the EOC flag along with several athletes. Before leaving the village the President took time to congratulate the WADA team who are running a very active awareness campaign for athletes.
