The European Handball Finals took place in Krakow Poland at the weekend. Pat Hickey was present as President of the European Olympic Committees. Germany and Spain were in the finals and Germany went on to win 24 – 17. The young German team therefore qualifies for the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. The bronze medal game was won by Croatia against Norway.
The President of the European Handball Federation, Jean Brihault met with Jacek Majchrowski the Mayor of Krakow who was present at the Game along with the Deputy Mayor of Krakow for Education and Sport, Katarzyna Krol and the President of the Polish Olympic Committee Andrzej Krasnicki.
