Scott, who is supported by an Olympic Council of Ireland scholarship,was approached by the national French coach and asked if he would be interested in practising against the top players in their national squad. He will leave for Paris next week and use the practice as preparation for the upcoming Dutch Open.
As a result of his Croatian result, Scott has jumped 11 places in the world rankings up to 73.
