The Closing Ceremony of 11th European Youth Olympic Festival, will be held on this evening 29th of July.
The EYOF 2011 Trabzon Coordination Group wil put on an fitting show for the young athletes , performance staff , family and friends.
The Ceremony starts at 8.15 pm at Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium.
Irish Team Chef de Mission Tom Rafter said ” its been a wonderful experience for all sports here , particularly for track athletes and swimming as they won medals in A and B finals”.
He added “There have been many outstanding peformances in heats , semis, A and B finals across all sports, and the National Federations will be pleased with the level of performance and their athletes ability to compete in a European context. I’d like to take this opportunity to thanks all the athletes, the management, coaching and medical team for all their hard work. Its been a great team effort and many friendships been made with athletes across sports in Europe in the village”
The Irish team arrive back into Dublin Airport (Terminal 1) tomorrow , Saturday 30th July at 10.20am on Turkish Airlines Flight TK1975
