Thirty-two year old Lynch, who will ride Flaminia Straumann’s 10 year-old gelding ‘Lantinus’, is one of 77 horse-and-rider combinations who will take part in the one-round competition at the equestrian facility at Sha Tin, and he will hope to gain enough points to put him in a favourable position for the series of Olympic Individual qualifying classes that follow next week.
Today’s competition is scheduled to start at approximately 1.15pm Irish time.
The Individual Jumping Final takes place in Hong Kong on Thursday, August 21, where two rounds jumped under floodlights will decide the Olympic medallists.
