Ireland took bronze medals over 20km at the European Race Walking Cup in Podebrady, Czech Republic over the weekend led home by Leevale’s Alex Wright, sixth in 1:21:48.
Rob Heffernan finished 13th in 1:22:40, with Cian McManamon next home for the Irish in 26th, in 1:24:03, ensuring the team came home third with 45 points.
In addition Brendan Boyce, in the 50km event, produced an outstanding performance to finish fourth 3:49:49.
