Ireland’s Hubert Gallagher produced a strong 2nd run in the boy’s Slalom today, pushing his way into the top half of the field at the European Youth Olympics in Liberec today
Gallagher , who had the honour of carrying the Irish Flag at the Opening Ceremony, finished in a very creditable 42nd position from a start list of 101 skiers.
The conditions on the slopes again caught a number of the skiers out but Gallagher suprisingly bettered his first run by over 5 secs.
His total time for the Slalom was 1.49.21
Overall 50 failed to finish (DNF) including Ireland’s Sean Lyne
The race was won by Henrik Kristofferson (NOR), finishing ahead of Anthony Bonvin (SUI) and Adrian Sejersted (NOR)
