Jacques Rogge received an honorary knighthood at Buckingham Palace

The former International Olympic Committee (IOC) President – Jacques Rogge received an honorary knighthood in Buckingham Palace from Her Royal Highness Princess Anne who is also an IOC Member.

 

Jacques Rogge was given the “Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and St. George” which is an honour presented by the Royal Palace.  The award is in commemoration of his services to the Olympic movment and in particular the London Olympic Games 2012.

 

Also present were President of the IOC, Thomas Bach and Lord Sebastian Coe, former Chairman of the London Olympic Games, and  Pat Hickey, IOC Executive Board Member.
