Lyne is Ireland’s Flag Bearer Sochi 2014

SKIER CONOR LYNE TO BE IRISH FLAG BEARER AT WINTER OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY

 

The Olympic Council of Ireland has announced that the 21 year old downhill skier Conor Lyne will be Ireland’s flag bearer at the Parade of Nations during the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi on Friday on Feb 7th.

Lyne said ” Its a great honour me and my family to have been chosen to be the Irish Flag bearer,

Its a privilege a to be part of such a tight group of athletes and performance support staff ”

The Parade of Nations will be held at the Olympic Stadium and over 80 nations will participate in the Ceremony.
