English won a bronze medal in the 800m at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich.He has also excelled outdoors recording the second fastest time ever by an Irish man (1.44.84).
The UCD medical students best championship performance to date came at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich in 2014 when he won the bronze medal in the 800m.
