The agreement is the second to be concluded by the OCI this year as part of it’s support for Olympic Sports. Pat Hickey commented: “We expect this initiative to prove highly beneficial to Ireland’s Olympic sports such as Judo and Wrestling, sports in which Georgia have great expertise”
At the agreement signing are Patrick Hickey, President of the Olympic Council of Ireland and Gia Natsvlishvili ,President Georgian Olympic Committee.
Note: Georgia finished 27th th in the Medal Table at the 2008 Beijing Games, winning 6 medals in 3 sports, judo, wrestling and shooting.
