Our Chef de Mission – Kevin Kilty, CEO Stephen Martin and Medical – Dr. David Feagan are in Rio this week visiting venues and being updated by the Organising Committee for the Rio Games in 2016.
They visited the Olympic Village and development is well under way. The distance between the Olympic Village and Olympic Park is quite good in Barra in the west of the city. They will also visit the Joa Havelange Olympic Stadium which will host the athletics track and field events, and the venue for golf at the Games.
They will also visit the pre-training camp and have further meetings about the facilities.
