Olympic Handball planning for success

The meeting between the OCI and the Men’s squad was initiated after a series of meetings between the OCI and the Board and Coaching staff of the IOHA.

The meeting is a signal of the Olympic Councils willingness and commitment to work with the IOHA in improving the Irish national handball teams.

The meeting was hosted by Stephen Martin a 3 time Olympian and the Chief Executive of the Olympic Council of Ireland.

The meeting was as an opportunity to introduce the players to the Olympic Training Diary principles used by Olympic sports; six players are currently contracted to play in the European club league.

Each player was given a performance planning diary which will be used by the players and Coaching staff in the build up to the squads International fixtures over the next 12 to 18 months as they prepare for Tri- Nation and European Challenge events.
