Opening of Johnny Murtagh’s new boxing Club

 Around 1000 people turned out for the official opening to include Bernard Dunne, Katie Taylor, Dominic O’Rourke President IABA, Aidan O Brien and John Oxx to name but a few.  

Before Johnny Murtagh (Champion Jockey) took to the saddle he was a five-time Irish champion in Boxing.  He now plans on giving something back to the people of his Kildare hometown and has completed his Level One course to become one of the club’s eight qualified coaches.  We would like to wish the Club all the best for the future.
