Paddy inspires St Clare PS Pupils

Double Olympic Medallist Paddy Barnes visited St Clare’s Primary School in Belfast today and received a fantastic welcome from 120 P5 – P7 pupils.

Nine pupils in the school are already active members of local boxing clubs and they especially were taken by the insight into the day to day lifestyle of one of Ireland’s top boxers.

Paddy is an enthusiastic participant in the Olympic Council of Ireland schools initiative, realising the positive impact he can have on his local community .

Our special thanks to the pupils and teachers for their support this morning.
