The President of EOC is on an official visit to Baku for meetings with the Organising Committee of the European Games (BEGOC), which will be held in June 2015. This morning he had a meeting with the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is also the President of the NOC – Mr Ilham Aliyev. He then had a meeting with the NOC at their offices in Baku and the photos shows President Hickey with Vice President, Dr Chingiz Huseynzada and Khalida from the office staff.
He will have meetings during the day with the different Departments of BEGOC and will attend the celebrations tomorrow of the Contract of Century’s 20th Anniversary and Southern Gas Corridor Initiative (SOCAR) which now opens up a new frontier; a stronger connection with the rest of Europe, and will deliver a speech at the SOCAR Ceremony.
