Puspure’s positive finish

Sanita Puspure won the C final in the Women’s Single Sculls in rowing to finish 13th in the event.

Puspure claimed victory by almost eight seconds ahead of Micheen Thornycroft as she finished the Olympics in a positive mood in 7:59.77.

The Irish rower had a tough heat and missed out on  the semi-finals earlier in the week but securing the best possible end to the Games is a positive for Rowing at the London Games.
