Rugby 7’s Jenny Murphy visited Brannoxtown National School, Naas, Co Kildare as part of the Olympic Council of Ireland’s schools programme.
20 Olympic athlete profiles have been recorded over the past year and are being released on the OCI’s YouTube in 2013/2014.
Athletes are visiting their local schools to share their experiences with pupils, how they got involved in sport, their successes and disappointments and the benefits of playing sport.
New profiles will be released in 2014 including Olympic medallists Paddy Barnes, Michael Conlan, and European Champion Annalise Murphy, Hockey’s Eugene Magee and Anna O’Flanagan, Triathlete Gavin Noble, Badminton’s Chloe Magee, Eventing’s Camilla Spiers and Ireland’s rising star 400 metre runner Brian Gregan.
