During London 2012 Claire Bergin became the first female to represent Ireland at both the Summer and Winter Games.
At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics she was part of Ireland’s women’s bobsleigh team.
From Dublin, Claire is a chartered accountant, and was a key member of the 4x 400 Relay team that competed at the World Championships in Korea 2011 and qualified for London 2012.
Pat McDonagh represented Ireland in Rowing (1980 Moscow) and Bobsleigh (1992 Albertville) and
Irish Javelin thrower Terry McHugh also competed in four Summer and two Winter Olympics ( 1992 Albertsville & 1998 Nagano) in Bobsleigh.
