Visit of the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland on 17 May – Olympic Council of Ireland

On the 17th May the Japanese Ambassador to Ireland Mari Miyoshi accompanied by Yuichi Yamada, 2nd Secretary Press & Cultural Affairs visited the President of the Olympic Council of Ireland Pat Hickey in Olympic House, Howth.

It was the first of many visits to come as we approach the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Next year Japan and Ireland will celebrate 60 years of Diplomatic relations and many events are already in the diary and soon to be added is a Celebration of Ireland / Japan and the Olympic Games.

Also in attendance were Dermot Henihan, Secretary General OCI and Stephen Martin CEO of the OCI.
