The President of the Olympic Council of Ireland Mr. Patrick Hickey today welcomed the President of the Chinese National Olympic Committee of the Peoples Republic of China Mr. Liu Peng to Olympic House, Howth, Co. Dublin and his delegation including Secretary General Mr. Song Luzeng, Deputy Secretary General Mr. Ni Huizhong, Assistant to the President Mr. Yuan Lei, Project Manager of Secretariat Mr Wang Kan and First Secretary, of the Culture Section of the Chinese Embassy to Ireland Ms. Huang Fei.
The delegation from the Olympic Council of Ireland also included Honorary General Secretary Mr. Dermot Sherlock, Chef de Mission for Rio 2015 Olympic Games Mr. Kevin Kilty, Chef de Mission for Baku 2015 First European Games Mr. Dermot Henihan and Chef de Mission for Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games Mr. Martin Burke.
It was both a courtesy visit and an exchange of information on a substantial number of Olympic issues that affect the National Olympic Committees throughout the world.
It was interesting, productive and beneficial to both delegations.
