KRAKOW 2023 EUROPEAN GAMES

The European Games is a world-class multi-sport event with a global footprint, celebrating Europe’s finest athletes in a crucial staging post on the road to the Olympic Games

The Malopolska region and the city of Krakow was unanimously elected as the host of the 3rd European Games 2023 at an Extraordinary General Assembly the day after the Opening Ceremony of the European Games in Minsk in 2019.

Team Ireland will be represented by 121 athletes across 17 sports, with the European Games serving as a European Championships for many events, and a Paris Olympic qualifying event for many more!

Boxing, Rugby Sevens, Modern Pentathlon and Athletics Relays are among the sports that will be competing with an eye on a qualification spot for the 2024 Olympic Games.
