Youth Team homecoming

The Irish European Youth Olympic Team arrived home on Saturday morning to a great welcome for family and friends.

Irish Team Chef de Mission Tom Rafter said ” its been a wonderful experience for all sports , particularly for track athletes and swimming as they won medals in A and B finals”. 

He added “There have been many outstanding peformances in heats , semis, A and B finals across all sports, and the National Federations will be pleased with the level of performance and their athletes ability to compete in a European context. I’d like to take this opportunity to thanks all the athletes, the management, coaching and medical team for all their hard work. Its been a great team effort and many friendships been made with athletes across sports in Europe in the village”
