BIOGRAPHY

Michael O'Connor competed in the water polo competition at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games as an Irish Army officer who had been educated at Blackrock College and graduated in engineering from Trinity College Dublin. He was part of a team that received a walk-over from Austria in the first round before losing 4-2 to Czechoslovakia in the quarter-final on 15 July. His brother Joseph O'Connor also competed in Olympic water polo at the Amsterdam 1928 Games.
