Brazil Delegation visit OCI

The Olympic Council of Ireland hosted a visit from Rio Organizing Committee 2016 Group Sports Manager Lt Col. Jaoo Gustavo Ribeiro de Cerqueira-Lima Neto  together with, Brazil Modern Pentathlon Head Coach Lt. Col. Alexandre Magno Vieira França and Maj. Guilherme Faria da Silva Defence Ministery – Brazil Military Sports Commission and interim Team Ireland PD Andy McKenzie.

The Brazillian Modern Pentathlon Squad have been holding a joint training camp with Team Ireland Pentathlon at the National Sports Campus in Dublin over the past week.

Both Federations are in advanced discussions in relation to a 2016 pre Games training camp along with two further nations  to prepare their athletes for the Rio Olympic Games.

The OCI’s Stephen Martin and Martin Burke also had discussions with Lt Col. Neto in relation to his role as sports manager for the Deodoro site which includes venues for Modern Pentathlon, Hockey, Rugby, Shooting, Equestrian Sports and Canoeing.
