Sarah is the first Chief Executive Officer of Swim Ireland and has held this position for over ten years.
Sarah is a former National Level Swimmer, and International Water Polo player.
Sarah is a qualified solicitor and prior to Swim Ireland she worked for eight years with Matheson Solicitors (formerly Matheson, Ormsby & Prentice) a leading Irish law firm. Her qualifications include an Honours Degree in Law, a Masters in Commercial Law and Diplomas in both Corporate Management and Financial Management.
Sarah is current member of the Board of the Federation of Irish Sport (the umbrella body for sporting organisations in Ireland) and also of Ireland Active (an umbrella body for many organisations involved in the leisure and fitness industry). She was elected to the Board of the Olympic Federation of Ireland in 2014.
Sarah graduated from the Common Purpose Leadership Programme in 2015 and represented Ireland at the European Olympic Council’s Women in Sport & Leadership Talent Event in Poland in April 2015.
Sarah achieved her Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in 2016.
