BIOGRAPHY
Gavin Noble is an Irish Olympian and former professional triathlete who represented Ireland at the London 2012 Olympic Games, becoming the first Irish male triathlete to qualify for the Olympic Games.
Across a career spanning more than a decade, Noble competed on the ITU World Triathlon Series and World Cup circuit, representing Ireland at major international championships and achieving multiple podium finishes. Known for his aggressive racing style and strong swim-bike combination, he was part of the generation that helped establish Ireland’s presence in elite international triathlon.
In addition to his Olympic-distance racing, Noble also made history in middle-distance triathlon, becoming the first — and currently only — Irish professional triathlete to win an IRONMAN 70.3 race.
Following his retirement from elite competition, Noble moved into high-performance leadership roles within sport, working to support the development of athletes and strengthen Ireland’s Olympic sport system.
