Florence Bell made an early exit from the giant Slalom unable to complete the course in difficult conditions. Starting 75th of 90 skiers conditions were not ideal, but an error on gate 12 was the reason her run ended.
Her coach Alain Untergassmair reflected on the performance with Bell agreeing that ” I didn’t follow the plan for this particular gate, and was unable to make the next gate”.
Bell unfortunately will now not be able to complete the 2nd run this afternoon having had a DNF.
She will however compete next in the women’s slalom event on the 21st February were she will be hoping to complete the event and post a finishing position.
