IOC President Thomas Bach visits Team Ireland in the Olympic Village

IOC President Thomas Bach visited Team Ireland in the Rio 2016 Olympic Village today.

During the visit, Team Ireland’s Chef de Mission Kevin Kilty and Chief Executive Stephen Martin provided an update on the Olympic Village facilities and Team Ireland’s preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which begin in nine days’ time.

Following the opening of the Rio 2016 Olympic Village on Sunday 24 July, the population stands at 2,400, six hundred of those guests are athletes, representing 120 countries.
