Magees miss out in semi-final

After taking a sensational Semi-final spot for in Belgium beating the English top seeds in Leuven, Belgium today, Chloe and Sam Magee lost their semi-final match this evening.

The pair lost to Danish 4th seeds Rasmussen and Grebak 14-21 19-21.

The Irish number one pairing of Sam and Chloe Magee booked their place in the semi-final with a sensational win over the number one seeded pair of Chris Langridge and Heather Olver earlier in the day.

Going into the quarter final the Irish pair knew it would be a tough test as the pair is ranked 20 spots higher than them on the World ranking at number 23 in the world.

In a gruelling match that lasted twice as long as two of the other three quarter finals the Magees came out on top winning the third set 21-18 in a 67 minute match.
