Nanjing 2014 Culture and Education Programme

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are essentially about competing, learning and celebrating. Within the YOG concept, the Nanjing 2014 Culture and Education Programme (CEP) has been designed as a unique and impactful experience to inspire young participants. A rich and diverse choice of activities provides life-skills to athletes and other young participants, enabling them to grow up in their sporting career and to promote a healthy lifestyle. They learn from their peers- a number of sports champions who act as Athlete Role Models (ARMs).

For a true champion, victory is not just about a result, but a combination of social responsibility, healthy lifestyle and mutual respect. Interactive activities provided through the CEP will present an unforgettable experience of making new friendships and embracing the true power of sport.

Members of the 2014 Team Ireland Youth Olympic Team be are taking part in the CEP activities along with competing in their events.
