BIOGRAPHY

J.C. Kidley competed in the men's light-heavyweight boxing at the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. From the Curragh, County Kildare, Kidley was part of an Irish boxing squad in which six of the seven competitors were members of the Irish Army, trained by instructor Tansy Lee - the former British flyweight and featherweight professional champion and the first Scottish boxer to win a Lonsdale belt outright.

Kidley was eliminated by his Norwegian opponent in his opening bout.
