Nadia Power ran the 800 metres at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, finishing seventh in her heat.
She took up athletics at eight after winning a race at her primary school sports day, attended St Mac Dara's Community College and trained with Templeogue AC before moving to Dublin City Harriers. She also played camogie with St Jude's GAA club, winning Dublin under-14 and under-16 championship medals.
Power initially competed over 1,500 metres before her coach Enda Fitzpatrick persuaded her to move to the 800 metres. She is from Templeogue, Dublin.
