Rowing – World U23 Rowing results

Ireland’s Paul O’Donovan came 4th in today’s U-23 World Championships in Varese, Italy. With USA Campbell storming off the start it was a hard fight between the other scullers. O’Donovan was neck and neck 2nd/3rd place with the Turkish and Italian boats at the halfway mark but slipped into Forth place in the last 500m to be beaten by 2 seconds.
Ireland’a lightweight double came forth in their B Final.
The crews will now gear up for their next big event. The World Rowing Championships at the end of August.
