Daniel ‘Danny’ Reddin

Danny Reddin was a member of the Irish basketball team at the 1948 London Olympic Games - the first appearance of basketball under Irish colours at the Olympics. From Athlone and a member of the Western Command contingent at Custume Barracks, Reddin was also involved in Athlone soccer alongside the Sheriff brothers. Ireland finished 23rd and last of 23 nations.
