The Irish Olympians’ Association (IOA) is one of 148 National Olympians’ Associations (NOAs) spread across all five continents. They organise events for Olympians and run projects that help their local communities. The President of the IOA is the legendary Olympic Gold Medallist, Ronnie Delany, and three time Olympian in fencing, John Bouchier Hayes, is the Vice-President.

One of the campaigns that the IOA promotes and supports is OLY, which was introduced by the World Olympians Association in 2017 as an honorary title bestowed upon Olympians, recognising the hard work, dedication and perseverance it takes to compete on sport’s greatest stage.
