David Kenny won back-to-back Irish national titles over 20 kilometres and took bronze at the World Athletics Race Walking Tour event in Podebrady, Czech Republic, setting a personal best of 1:19:44, the second-fastest time by an Irish athlete.

He finished 29th in the men's 20 kilometres race walk at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

He is from Ballyhar, County Kerry.
