Éadaoin Ní Challaráin was the first woman to represent Ireland at the Olympic Games in Canoe-Slalom.
She competed in both the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Games. At the Sydney Olympics, she delivered a strong performance to finish 17th, before going on to achieve a career best Olympic result in Athens, where she placed 11th, matching her world ranking at the time.
Beyond the Olympic stage, Éadaoin also excelled in freestyle kayaking. She secured an impressive 4th place at the 2001 European Championships, underlining her versatility and technical skill across multiple disciplines within the sport.
Domestically, she is a two-time winner of the iconic Liffey Descent. She continues to kayak non competitively.
