Heike Holstein has competed in individual dressage at four Olympic Games, spanning Atlanta 1996 to Tokyo 2020.
She made her Olympic debut at Atlanta 1996, finishing 26th aboard Ballaseyr Devereaux, her best Olympic placing. She placed 42nd at Sydney 2000 with Royale 42, 50th at Athens 2004 riding Welt Adel, and 37th at Tokyo 2020.
Holstein took thirteen years away from international competition to raise her family, returning to the Irish team at the 2019 Nations Cup in Aachen, her first appearance for Ireland in fourteen years. She is based in Carbury, County Kildare.
