BIOGRAPHY

Cathal Daniels was selected for the Irish eventing team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with his mare Rioghan Rua, alongside Sam Watson and Sarah Ennis.

Rioghan Rua was withdrawn on veterinary grounds less than 24 hours before the dressage phase, and Daniels reverted to alternate status, with Austin O'Connor taking his place in the competition.
