Tokyo 2021 first reserve Meg Ryan and Youth Olympic Games finalist Emma Slevin competed this evening in the women’s qualification round of the 2021 European Gymnastics Championships. Slevin from Renmore Gymnastics Club in Galway, and Ryan from Douglas Gymnastics Club in Cork, who both haven’t competed in approximately 18 months due to Covid19, competed in Subdivision 4 –

Team Ireland have arrived in Switzerland and are ready to compete in the final Tokyo qualifier at the 2021 European Championships in Artistic Gymnastics in Besel.    First up are teammates Meg Ryan and Emma Slevin who will compete in the Women’s qualifiers which is due to take place tomorrow, Wednesday 21st April at 5.30pm Irish time.

Irish gymnast Rhys McClenaghan has won gold in the pommel-horse final today at the 2019 FIG World Challenge Cup in Koper, Slovenia with an impressive score of 15.450. Only last week McClenaghan returned to podium securing a silver medal at the World Cup pommel final in China after a long period of post shoulder surgery
