Ashleigh Orchard played in the women's rugby sevens tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Ireland placed eighth on the team's first appearance at the Games. She came back into the squad around a year after the arrival of her daughter Arabella.
With the Ireland XVs side she won the Six Nations Grand Slam in 2013, playing on the wing and at flanker, and was part of the team that beat New Zealand at the 2014 World Cup on the way to the semi-finals. She played at the Women's Rugby World Cup in 2014 and 2017, and has made 87 appearances for Ireland on the World Rugby Sevens Series.
