Louis Crowe was selected as a sprinter for the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games, entered in the 100 metres and named in the Irish 4x100 metres relay squad. He did not start the individual event, and the relay team did not take to the track.
He was 24 at the time of the Games. Helsinki brought Ireland its first Olympic boxing medal, John McNally taking silver at bantamweight.
